    3 Ingredient Oreo Milkshake Recipe

A delicious, indulgent and creamy 3-ingredient Oreo Milkshake is great as an after-school snack or alongside a meal.

This 3 ingredient oreo milkshake recipe is a perfect drink for kids to make themselves as part of fun activities during their summer holidays. Cooking with kids is a great way to keep the little hands and brains busy and away from the gadgets. It's also a refreshing drink to have on hot summer days, specifically for the kids who struggle with liquid intake.

Occasional sweet treat indulgence is absolutely fine as long as kids eat in moderation rather than snacking treats mindlessly without portion control. The sugar content in an oreo milkshake is quite high so I would definitely not suggest having it every day!  I would rather suggest emphasising healthy eating and encouraging kids to try sweet treats that have natural sweetness such as my strawberry frozen yogurt, chocolate peanut butter balls, homemade date energy bars, healthy date bars and coconut date balls than those loaded with refined sugars.

    Ingredients

    • Oreo Biscuits
    • Vanilla Ice cream
    • Milk: I use full fat (whole milk) to get a creamy milkshake.
    • Whipped Cream (optional): As a topping to make milkshake extra delicious and indulgent.

See the recipe card for quantities.

    Instructions

Roughly break the oreo biscuits and put them in a blender jar.

Close the jar with a lid and pulse until biscuits crumble.

Add the vanilla ice cream and milk.

Close the blender jar with a lid and whizz until everything is well combined and smooth.

Pour the milkshake into a glass.

Top it up with whipped cream.

Delicious 3 ingredinet oreo milkshake is ready to enjoy.

    Substitutions

For the vegan version, substitute dairy milk with plant-based milk and use dairy-free ice cream. Omit the whipped cream.

Use chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla to transform it into a decadent dessert.

    Variations

Try adding vanilla extract for extra flavour.

Chocolate syrup drizzled on whipped cream makes a great topping.

    Tips and Tricks

Use full-fat milk (whole milk) as it yields a thick and creamy milkshake that replicates the cafe-style cookies and cream milkshake.

Pulse the oreo until crumbly and then add the remaining ingredients and continue blending until you get the desired texture.

If your blender is struggling to break the biscuits then put them in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.

Do not use ice cubes as it thin milkshake down, rather use chilled milk.

    Serving Suggestions

It's great as a part of the pizza night menu. Let kids make their own flatbread pizza or bread pizza as well with their choice of toppings and enjoy it with this oreo milkshake.

Great on the kid's party menu. Serve it with vegetable quesadilla, sweet potato patties and crispy baked potato wedges.

It's great as an after-school snack occasionally.

Serve it with walnut brownies as an indulgent snack for chocolate lovers.
