Tropical smoothie recipe - a super healthy and refreshing smoothie loaded with most loved real tropical fruits!! Whether you are looking for healthy and nutritious breakfast or a tasty treat, your family is sure to love this smoothie that has simple ingredients and incredible taste.

Tropical smoothie recipe - healthy and nutritious recipe

Smoothies are a healthy and tastier way to start the day. When it comes to fast, easy and healthy breakfast option, you really can't beat smoothies such as this tropical smoothie, pineapple banana smoothie.

The best part about smoothies is the smooth and creamy consistency makes them hit with kids and its a great way to get loads of nutrients. Smoothies are the best healthy after-school snacks along with other healthy treats such as strawberry banana milkshake, healthy date bars, oatmeal energy balls, open-faced sandwich.

    Tropical smoothie recipe variations

This smoothie recipe can be customised to suit your family's taste. Swap coconut water for coconut milk if you prefer your smoothie to be of thin consistency. Alternatively, try adding coconut yogurt to make your smoothie more thick and creamy. You could add more tropical fruits such as oranges, dates, passion fruit, acai.

    Let's see in detail how to make a refreshing and delicious tropical smoothie;

    Ingredients

    1 cup = 250ml ; 1 tablespoon = 15ml

    Vegan, Gluten free

    Frozen Pineapple: 1 cup, chopped

    Banana: 1

    Coconut Milk: 1 tin (400ml)

    Mango: 1 cup, chopped

    Maple syrup: 2 tbsp

    Instructions

Add all ingredients in a blender.

    Blend until smooth and creamy.

Divide equally into 2 glasses and enjoy.

    Notes

Try not to add ice cubes as it thins down the smoothie, instead chill in the fridge before serving. I've used frozen pineapple to get the right consistency and chilled smoothie without adding ice cubes.

You may substitute maple syrup with honey, coconut sugar or any healthy sweeteners.

You can substitute coconut milk with any plant-based milk.

This recipe is a part of Food for Feast, I've adapted this recipe from blogger friend Lathiya's blog Lathis Kitchen.
