Masala Lassi - a refreshing and rejuvenating flavoured buttermilk. This mildly spiced yogurt drink perfect to cool off on hot summer days.

Masala Lassi also called masala chaas is an essential part of everyday meals in most of the North Indian households regardless of the weather. Chaas is an ideal option to finish off the old yogurt.

Among various lassi varieties such as Rose Lassi, Mango Lassi masala lassi is most preferred in many households in India as it is prepared with few ingredients, readily available in a kitchen pantry at any time and is considered healthy and soothing beverage during summer. It is a thirst quencher in summer and has the ability to rehydrate your body when it's hot outside.

Masala Lassi Recipe variations

Masala Lassi is mildly spiced with the addition of ginger. You could add green chili while blending or a big pinch pepper powder or chili powder for intense spice.

Fresh ginger can be substituted with ginger powder.

Try adding black salt to enhance the flavour.
