Strawberry Banana Milkshake is a delicious drink that is fun to make with kids. It is so easy kids can make them with little adult supervision. Banana lend their sweetness to the milkshake. Cream lends the silky smooth texture and creamy consistency. It truly is as easy as adding the strawberries, banana, milk and cream to your blender and blend until smooth, creamy and has drinkable consistency.
When it comes to having healthy food kids are always first to crinkle their nose and run out of room. Especially my little girl dislikes both milk and fruits might be due to lack of taste, texture or any other reason that seems valid to her.
Making wonderful, thick and yummy milkshakes are best ways to get my little girl back to dining table and make sure she get her essential nutrients. Flavours of strawberry banana milkshake makes a sweet treat that even my fussy kid couldn’t resist!! If you ask me, milkshakes and smoothies such as Pineapple banana smoothie are the great way to boost kid’s fruits intake. Anything that gets my daughter to crave more fruits and vegetables are a good thing in my book.
Strawberry Banana Milkshake for Breakfast
Sometimes it’s tough to make my fussy kid to sit long enough to have full breakfast, so I prefer these healthy milkshakes, they are fast to drink and packed full of essential nutrients. This healthy strawberry banana milkshake is definitely healthier than strawberry flavoured milk as it has the real strawberries. Milkshake is perfect for breakfast, dessert or as after school snack along with other healthy options such as healthy date bars, oatmeal energy balls.

There’s no need to add extra sugar in this recipe as banana and strawberry has plenty of sweetness. You could add dates or honey for extra sweetness.
Do not add ice cubes as frozen fruits keeps milkshake cold but it doesn’t water it down. Adding ice to milkshakes makes them watery pretty quickly.
Do not replace full fat milk with semi skimmed milk as you may end up with watery milkshake.
For vegan version swap dairy milk with plant-based milk such as almond milk, coconut milk. Swap double cream with dairy free whipped cream.
