    Strawberry Yogurt Bark (Video Recipe)

    Strawberry yogurt bark is a fun and interesting snack for kids to make, healthy and ideal food to enjoy as an after school snack or as dessert after meals.

    Strawberry yogurt bark – healthy and fun snack

    These gorgeous yogurt bars are very easy to make and taste delicious. Spoonfuls of jam, plenty of fresh fruits and nut add tons of flavours to the plain yogurt. Kids surely enjoy topping yogurt with fruits, nuts, swirling the sauce or jam all around to create whatever pretty designs they want.

    The best part of this recipe is that you can incorporate more fruits, nuts and make fussy kids to eat their healthy food. A healthy replacement for junk food. It’s a great way to cool down on those hot summer days.

    Strawberry yogurt bark recipe variations

    You can use whatever fruits and nuts your kid prefers. You may substitute honey with maple syrup, agave or any healthy sweetener. Chocolate chips, desiccated coconut, sprinkles make a great addition for kids visual appeal.

    Ingredients

    Greek yogurt: 2 cups

    Honey: 2 tbsp

    Vanilla extract: ½ tsp

    Strawberries: 8-10

    Almonds: 10-12

    Strawberry sauce: 3 tbsp

    Instructions

    Line a baking tray with parchment/grease-proof paper.

    In a wide bowl mix yogurt with honey, vanilla essence, half chopped strawberries and half almonds slices.

    Spread out the yogurt on a parchment lined tray.

    Spoon little dollops of strawberry sauce all over the yogurt.

    Swirl the sauce with a small wooden skewers/toothpick all over.

    Top it with remaining strawberries and almonds.

    Freeze for 3-4 hours or until firm.

    Remove from freezer, leave for few minutes before cutting into squares.

    Enjoy the fruity, tasty strawberry yogurt bark.

    Notes:

    Depending on thickness, the bark starts to melt 15 minutes after removing from the freezer.

    These yogurt barks freeze solid. You may need to keep it out at room temperature for sometime before serving.

    You can substitute strawberry jam for sauce, you may have to heat the jam slightly or mix vigorously just until it thins down enough to swirl easily.

    Store the pieces in a freezer bag, separating each piece with parchment paper.

    Adjust the ingredients as per your liking.
