    Easy fruit salad recipe

This simple and fresh fruit salad recipe is always refreshing whether it's summer, spring or winter. When making this salad use whatever fresh fruits are in season. There are no strict rules for the ingredients to use in this recipe so be creative and make your own salad with your favourite fruits. The best part of this easy fruit salad is the simplicity of the dressing this is enhanced with ginger, lemon and cardamom. It adds just the right amount of lemon - gingery flavour to keep the salad fresh and refreshing. In this recipe I have used apples, pear, strawberries, pomegranate, plums, pineapple and clementines.

    Ginger lime dressing

Dressing is essential as without it you just have an ordinary salad which doesn't actually require a recipe. Fruit salad is easy to put together and you can use whatever seasonal fruits you like but ginger lime dressing promotes the salad from ordinary to exotic. This simple lemon and ginger infused dressing is  made by simmering water, sugar, cinnamon, cardamom and ginger until syrupy. Remove from heat and mix in lemon juice, this will counteract the sweetness of the syrup and also stops the fruits from browning.
