Ingredients

- Fresh Fruits: Apple, pear, strawberries, pomegranate, black grapes and banana.
- Nuts and Dried Fruits: Raisins, pumpkin seeds, almonds and cashews.
- Sweetener: We used maple syrup but feel free to use honey or agave syrup.
- Dairy: Single cream to add creamy texture and taste to the salad.

Instructions

Step 1: Wash and chop all fruits.
Step 2: In a large bowl, place apple, pear, pomegranate, grapes, strawberries and banana.

Step 3: Add raisins, almonds, pumpkin seeds, cashews and maple syrup.

Step 4: Now gently toss the fruits and nuts together with spoons.

Step 5: Finally mix in cream and toss well.

Let the salad chill in the fridge for a few minutes, then serve it up.
Substitutions and Variations
Dried Fruits: Dried cranberries, dried apricot, prunes and dried figs make a
Fresh Fruits: Try other fruits that are in season such as peaches, green grapes, blueberries, mango, kiwi, pineapple and orange.
Nuts: Switch nuts for varied taste and flavour. Try walnuts, pine nuts or pecan instead of almonds and cashews.
Storage
This fresh fruit salad stays fresh for 2 days in the fridge in an airtight container.
To save time when preparing for an event, wash and cut all fruits except bananas, squeeze lime juice over apple and pears and store each fruit in separate containers in the fridge. When ready combine these fruits, freshly chopped banana, nuts and cream. Chill in the fridge for a few minutes before serving.

Tips and Tricks
Chopping Fruits: Make sure to cut them into bite-sized pieces for easy munching for kids.
Cut Grapes: Cut grapes to prevent choking hazards for young kids.
Choose Fresh, Ripe Fruits: Pick a variety of fruits that are in season for the best flavour and texture.
Prevent Browning: Squeeze a bit of lemon juice on apples, bananas, and pears to prevent them from browning.
Add Cream Just Before Serving: Mix the cream with the fruits just before serving to keep the fruits fresh and the cream from becoming too runny.
Sweetener: Based on the sweetness of the fruits, adjust the maple syrup. If you are able to get to seasonal sweet fruits, you can completely omit maple syrup.

Equipment
- 1 Mixing Bowl
- 2 spoons
Ingredients
1 Cup = 250ml ; 1 Tablespoon = 15ml ; 1 Teaspoon = 5ml
- 1 Medium Apple wash, core and chop into small pieces
- 1 Pear wash, core and chop into small pieces
- ⅓ Cup Pomegranate Seeds
- 15 Seedless Black Grapes wash and slice each into half
- 1 Large Banana peel and slice
- 2 Strawberries Wash, hull and chop into small pieces
- 8-9 Cashews chop into small pieces
- 6-7 Almonds chop into small pieces/sliver
- 1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Raisins
- 60 ml (or) ¼ Cup Single Cream adjust to taste and consistency
- 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup adjust to taste
Instructions

- Add raisins, almonds, pumpkin seeds, cashews and maple syrup.8-9 Cashews, 6-7 Almonds, 1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Seeds, 1 Teaspoon Raisins, 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
- Now gently toss the fruits and nuts together with spoons.
- Finally, mix in cream and toss for a creamy touch.60 ml (or) ¼ Cup Single Cream
- Let the salad chill in the fridge for a bit, then serve it up.
