Substitutions and Variations

Lemon: You can add a splash of lemon juice to enhance the flavour.

Sweetener: You can substitute maple syrup with agave syrup, date syrup or date caramel sauce.

Coconut milk: For low calorie version, substitute full fat coconut milk with low fat coconut milk.

Tips and Tricks

Watermelon: Choose a ripe, sweet watermelon for the best taste.

Coconut milk: Shake the tin well before using, as coconut milk fat tends to separate in the can.

Chill: For an extra cold watermelon refresher, refrigerate diced watermelon before blending. This helps keep the drink chilled while reducing the need for too many ice cubes.

Strain: For an ultra smooth watermelon coconut cooler, strain blended watermelon juice through a fine mesh sieve before serving.

Consistency: Adjust coconut milk to get your desired consistency. Add more for thicker, creamier texture or use less for a lighter and thinner texture.

Storage

For a fresh taste, try storing watermelon juice and coconut milk separately and combine them just before serving.

You can store leftover watermelon coconut milk cooler in an airtight container in the fridge for a day. Stir well before serving, as natural separation may occur.
