I usually try to reduce sugar as much as possible for my kids and prefer healthy treats such as these 3 ingredient date bars, date snickers, oats peanut butter energy bites, coconut superseed stuffed dates, peanut butter chocolate energy balls, banana oatmeal balls that boost their energy and keep them full until next meal.
These homemade healthy date bars with just a few ingredients are a win-win for both parents and kids. This recipe requires no cooking or baking, contains no refined sugar. Dates are a good source of nutrition and their natural sweetness makes them an ideal substitute for added sugar in any date based recipe.
All you need are 3 ingredients and a few minutes to whip up these quick and easy healthy energy bars. One of the best parts for parents is that this recipe is a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen, helping them build healthy eating habits from a young age.
The fun part for kids is being creative in customising this recipe with their choice of nuts, seeds or other ingredients. With endless possibilities, they can customise the bars to their taste, making them much more likely to enjoy every bite without any fuss

Storage
Store these bars in an air-tight container in the kitchen cabinet for 2-3 days, or in the fridge for a week. Consider freezing them for extended shelf life for up to 3 months. (Ours disappeared in 2 days)
Tips and Tricks To Make Perfect No Bake Energy Bars
Processor: First, pulse almonds a few times for 30 seconds or just until they break into crumb-sized pieces. While processing dates, you may have to scrape the sides of the container and continue pulsing for 1-2 minutes or until all the ingredients are well combined.
Dates: If you are not using soft dates, soaking them in hot water for a few minutes helps soften them.

Raw date bars are so common in the market and while there are companies making them healthy and without any preservatives, my heart bleeds out at all the packaging we throw with every date bar so we also recently started making our own date bars! I love your simple flavour combinations. I haven’t tried adding coconut yet to my date bars. Definitely going in, in the next edition!
