These 4 ingredient apple oat bars for toddlers are soft, naturally sweetened and made in a blender. There’s no flour, no egg and no butter. Just blitz, press into the tray and bake. These are perfect for busy mornings, lunchboxes and simple snack for little hands.

If you are tired of snack recipes with a long list of ingredients, this is for you. Everything goes in a blender and the mixture is ready to bake in minutes.
These apple oat bars are the perfect recipe to make with kids. There are no pile of mixing bowls, no flour and no mess. All you need is a blender and a baking tray. Every step has a job for little helpers, while an adult handles the knife, hot oven and blender.
I made this recipe with my 5 year old who enjoyed every step of the recipe – washing apples, measuring oats, adding everything into a blender, turning it on, spreading it on a lined baking tray and pressing it with pushing plate of a mini dessert ring, which is a fun tool for little hands.
An adult should chop apple, plug in blender, supervise kids when blender is on and handle the hot tray. Turn the blender off and unplug before scraping the sides, keep little hands away from blades and wash hands before and after.

Tips and Tricks
Press firmly: A well pressed mixture holds together much better when baked.
Blitz well: Use a finer blade for soft bars, which is better for young toddlers.
Don’t overbake: Bake just until the mixture sets, as longer baking gives a drier and extremely chewy texture.
Let it cool completely: Wait until it cools completely before cutting, as warm bars can crumble.
FAQ
Yes, apple adds natural sweetness, so you can either reduce maple syrup or replace it with mashed banana.
No, a standard blender or food processor works. Blitz in short bursts, scrape down the sides until the mixture comes together and is sticky.
Although oats are naturally gluten free, they are often processed alongside wheat. So use certified gluten free oats if you need them.
