If you’re looking for a simple kitchen activity for kids, this cardamom mango frozen yogurt bark is a perfect recipe for kids to take the lead on. Perfect for playdates, parties or as a summer snack.

This 4 ingredient no bake mango yogurt bark is a fabulous way for kids to actively participate in every step from mixing and spreading to topping, with minimal adult help.
Simple recipes like vegetable sandwich, no bake date bars, chocolate dipped fruit cones and coconut superseed stuffed dates are not only healthy snacks but a fun activity that helps kids build confidence in the kitchen while learning basic cooking skills.
The best part of this frozen yogurt mango bark is that kids get to take the lead for most part and they get to design the topping before freezing it. Be cautious when kids handle a blender. Allow older kids to handle it with adult supervision and keep young kids away from the appliance. Check recipe and safety disclaimer for more information.

Variations and Substitutions
Chocolate Chips: A handful of chocolate chips makes this yogurt mango bark feel like a treat and encourages picky kids to try it.
Mango Pulp: Mango pulp is the best alternative when fresh mangoes are out of season and just skip the fresh mango topping.
Nuts: Walnuts, cashews or pistachios can be used instead of almonds.
Granola: Try flavoured granola such as apple granola, banana granola, chocolate peanut butter granola or sweet potato granola for extra flavour.
Storage
Store mango bark in an airtight container or ziplock bag with parchment paper between pieces. It keeps well in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Tips and Tricks
Mango: For best natural flavour and vibrant colour, use ripe, sweet mangoes that are in season.
Yogurt: Use Greek yogurt or homemade creamy thick yogurt that freezes well without becoming icy.
Spread: Make sure to spread the yogurt mango mixture evenly to about half an inch on the lined tray so that the bark freezes uniformly and breaks easily.
Baking Sheet: Line the tray with a baking sheet or parchment paper to prevent bark from sticking to the base, making it easier to remove once frozen.
Freeze: Make sure to freeze it until completely firm, 3-4 hours or overnight, before breaking it into pieces.
Layer Bark with Parchment: Before storing bark in the container, place parchment/baking paper between pieces to prevent them from sticking.
