Iced green tea recipe is a refreshing and revitalising drink recipe that keeps you cool and hydrated on hot summer days.
Nothing could be as simple and easy as this cold brew iced green tea. 4 ingredients and 5 minutes of your spare time is all you need to make it. The only time-consuming part is steeping tea, but the end result is all worth it. The fabulously refreshing tea not only quenches the thirst instantly but also makes you feel relaxed.
What is cold brewed green tea?
As the name suggests, cold brewing means tea brewed with cold water instead of hot water. Cold brewing is a process of gentle steeping that takes longer than hot tea which gets ready in less than 5 minutes. Even though cold brew takes longer, it's worth waiting for its smooth and sweet taste. Unlike hot green tea, cold brewed green tea doesn't turn bitter the longer you steep. You can let the tea steep with this method overnight, so you can drink the refreshing tea in the morning.

I like my green tea without any sweetener as I feel the sweetener tames the earthy flavour of green tea. Add honey, maple syrup, or any sweetener of your choice if you would like your iced tea to be more palatable.
It is a refreshing drink made of green tea bags or loose leaf tea served over ice and/or sweetener and optional mint and lemon wedges. Unlike a tea latte milk is not used in this green tea recipe.
