Looking for fun, fruity twist for snack time? Try this tortilla fruit pinwheels, it is packed with fresh fruits and creamy goodness. Perfect for little hands to help prepare and tasty way to get even picky eaters to enjoy their fruits.
Warm the tortillas on a skillet for a few seconds on each side until they are soft and pliable.
Lay the tortilla flat on a clean surface or a plate. Spread a generous layer of the soft cheese over the tortilla, leaving about ½ inch of the edge free.
Fill the cheese layer with chopped apple, sliced grapes and raspberries.
Now sprinkle almonds and sunflower seeds.
Starting from one end, tightly roll up the tortilla. Try to keep the roll as tight as possible without squeezing out the filling.
Slice the rolls into ½-inch thick pinwheels using a sharp knife (only adults must do it).
Notes
Chop Fruits: Make sure fruits and nuts are chopped into small pieces and small fruits sliced into half. This helps reduce the risk of choking hazard for toddlers and pre schoolers, makes it easier to roll pinwheels easily and ensures they hold together well.Roll Tightly: Roll the tortilla as tightly as possible without tearing it.Sharp Knife: Use a sharp knife to gently slice the pinwheels without squishing them.** Nutritional information provided here is estimated and for guidance only. Please refer myRecipe Disclaimerfor more details.
