Instructions
Warm tortillas for about 10 seconds on a dry skillet or microwave just until they are warm. (only an adult has to do it. Watch out young kids when they are near the hot burner).
2 Wholewheat Seeded Tortillas
Place each tortilla on a wooden board or a plate and spread a thin layer of peanut butter over it. (Time for kids to take over!)
3 Teaspoons Peanut Butter
Place thinly sliced apples in the center of the tortilla, leaving a small border along the edges.
1 small Fresh Apple
Drizzle maple syrup over the apples for sweetness. Sprinkle raisins and chopped nuts over the apples. (this is the fun part for kids, don't forget to watch my toddler having fun in the video!)
½ Teaspoon Maple Syrup, 6-7 Almonds, 10-15 Raisins
Carefully fold the tortilla's two sides inside to enclose the apple filling.
Then, starting from the bottom, roll it up tightly to create a wrap. (little hands need help rolling up!)
Cut each wrap in half diagonally (only adults should do it)
Serve delicious and nutritious homemade apple wraps with a side of yogurt fruit dip or dates caramel sauce for dipping.
Notes
Don’t Overfill: Make sure kids don’t overfill the tortilla as it would be challenging to roll the tortilla up without spilling.Control Moisture: To avoid a soggy wrap, wash and pat dry apple before arranging them in a tortilla.Choose Fresh Apple: For the most delicious taste, go for the crisp, juicy and firm apple.Heat Tortilla: Heat them either in a pan on the stovetop over medium heat or in the microwave just until they are warm and pliable. Overheating could cause them to crisp up and become challenging to roll up.** Nutritional information provided here is estimated and for guidance only. Please refer myRecipe Disclaimerfor more details.
