Craving a healthy yet irresistible snack? Try this pan fried tofu recipe with sesame seeds. Perfect as a snack, appetiser, in wraps or salads. It is a vegan and nut free dish.
In another bowl or plate, combine rice flour, salt and paprika.
¼ Cup Rice Flour, Salt, 1 Teaspoon Paprika
Toss tofu cubes in flour mixture and make sure each cube is well coated on all sides.
Heat oil over medium heat.
3 Tablespoons Oil
Place flour coated tofu pieces on a pan in a single layer with a little spacing between them.
Fry for 3-5 minutes, toss and cook another 3-4 minutes other side until crispy and golden brown.
Reduce the heat slightly and gently pour chilli soy sauce mixture over fried tofu.
Toss tofu until tofu pieces are well coated with sauce. Cook for a couple of minutes until the tofu is heated through.
Switch the heat off, sprinkle sesame seeds and mix well with a spoon.
1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds
Serve delicious pan fried tofu on its own or with a main meal.
Notes
