Try this simple and irresistible fig dessert - maple cinnamon roasted figs. Made with just 5 basic ingredients and ready in only 10 mins. Perfect as topping on yogurt, oatmeal, pudding or enjoy it on its own as a dessert after a meal. It is a gluten free and dairy free dish.
In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, cinnamon, chopped walnuts and almonds.
⅓ Cup Maple Syrup, ½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon (Cinnamon Powder), 3-4 Almonds, 2-3 Walnuts
Wash and slice each fig in half lengthwise.
7 Fresh Figs
Arrange them on a baking dish with the cut side facing up.
Drizzle maple cinnamon mixture over each fig.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 mins or until figs are tender and slightly caramalised.
Once done, remove the baking dish from the oven and let the figs cool slightly.
Enjoy maple cinnamon roasted figs as a dessert or over yogurt, oatmeal breakfast or ice cream.
Notes
