In a small bowl, combine maple syrup and coconut oil.
½ Cup Maple Syrup, ½ Cup Coconut Oil
In a large bowl, combine raisins, cranberries and desiccated coconut.
¼ Cup (or) 45 gms Cranberries, ½ Cup (or) 40 gms Desiccated Coconut, ¼ Cup (or) 35 gms Raisins
Now add toasted oats, almonds and stir well.
Pour maple syrup and oil mixture over dry ingredients and stir well until oats and nuts are evenly coated.
Transfer the prepared mixture onto a lined baking sheet.
Spread evenly, put a baking sheet on top and press down gently with your palm for clumpy granola.
Bake for 20-25 minutes in a preheated oven until edges turn golden brown.
Remove the tray from the oven and let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet. It will harden as it cools.
Break crunchy granola into pieces and store in a clean glass jar.
Enjoy homemade crunchy granola with milk and fresh fruits for breakfast or as a snack.
Notes
Use Rolled Oats: Use rolled oats also known as old fashioned oats for making granola because they provide a nice texture and absorb flavours well.Adjust Sweetness: You can adjust the sweetness of your crunchy granola by adjusting the amount of maple syrup.Even Coating: Make sure the wet ingredients thoroughly coat all the dry ingredients. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly combined.Low and Slow Baking: Bake your granola at a lower temperature (around 290°F or 140°C) and for a longer time. This prevents burning and allows flavours to develop slowly.Use Parchment Paper or silicone mat: Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.Avoid Light and Heat: Keep your granola in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Exposure to heat and light can cause the granola to become rancid more quickly.** Nutritional information provided here is estimated and for guidance only. Please refer myRecipe Disclaimerfor more details.
