Air Fryer Baby Carrots

Air fryer baby carrots is a super easy dish to make with a handful of pantry ingredients. These air fried baby carrots are a vegan, gluten free, sweet and lightly spiced dish perfect as a snack or as a side dish to pair with the main meal.

Equipment

Ingredients

1 Cup = 250ml ; 1 Tablespoon = 15ml ; 1 Teaspoon = 5ml

  • 235 gms (or) 1 Cup Chantenay Carrots/Baby Carrots
  • 1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Maple Syrup
  • 1 Teaspoon Sage
  • Salt as required
  • Pepper as required

Instructions

  • Wash carrots well in cold running tap water.
    235 gms (or) 1 Cup Chantenay Carrots/Baby Carrots
  • Place carrots in a bowl. Add oil, salt, pepper, sage and maple syrup. Mix well until carrots are coated with oil and seasoning.
    1 Teaspoon Olive Oil, 1 Teaspoon Maple Syrup, 1 Teaspoon Sage, Salt, Pepper
  • Spray or apply oil to the air fryer basket.
  • Now arrange baby carrots in air fryer basket with a lined baking sheet in a single layer ensuring they don't overlap.
  • Put the basket in the air fryer, set the temperature to 200C (350F) for 14 minutes and air fry baby carrots.
  • Take the basket out of the air fryer half way through roasting, shake well, put it back and continue cooking.  
  • Once the timer goes off, take the basket out of the air fryer.

Notes

For proper roasting spread and space out carrots into a single layer in the basket. If necessary, divide and roast them in batches rather than overfilling the basket. 
Do not forget to remove the basket and shake it well half way through the roasting to make sure all sides are well roasted. 
Line air fryer with baking sheet/parchment paper for easy cleaning. 
Just a teaspoon oil is enough to roast baby carrots.
