Cool off this summer with a fun and refreshing fruity snack. These homemade watermelon ice lollies are super easy to make with little ones. Perfect for keeping the kids entertained in the kitchen.
Place watermelon cubes, maple syrup and lime juice in a blender or food processor.
2 Teaspoons Maple Syrup, 2 Teaspoons Lime Juice
Secure the blender or food processor with a lid and blend until smooth.
Place a fine mesh strainer over the bowl.
Pour the watermelon juice over the strainer. Stir it with a spoon to speed up the straining process.
Pour the watermelon juice into lolly moulds.
Close each mould with a handle and place lollies with the base in the freezer overnight or for at least 6 hours until completely frozen.
Unmould and enjoy the homemade watermelon ice lollies.
Notes
Unmould Lollies: To Unmould, place the popsicle mould in a mug of warm water for about 30-60 seconds, then gently pull the handle to lift off the mould cover.Strain Juice: Straining the juice is optional. I chose to strain it to remove the seeds, but you can skip this step if you're confident there are no seeds while blending the watermelon and prefer a more pulpy texture in your lollies.Sweetener: Skip maple syrup if the watermelon is sweet enough on its own.** Nutritional information provided here is estimated and for guidance only. Please refer myRecipe Disclaimerfor more details.
