Turmeric Milk (Haldi Doodh)
Turmeric Milk also called Golden Milk is an Ayurvedic Indian drink with anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting and healing properties. Some call this super healthy drink as golden turmeric milk, turmeric latte or turmeric tea but in India, it is popularly called Haldi Doodh. Turmeric is one of the most essential spices used in Indian cuisine. The healing properties of the haldi doodh ensure to provide warmth and good health especially on freezing cold winter days.

1 Cup = 250ml ; 1 Tablespoon = 15ml ; 1 Teaspoon = 5ml
- 3 cups Milk
- ½ Tablespoon Ground Turmeric
- 1 Teaspoon Crushed Black Pepper
- ¼ Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- ½ Teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1 Teaspoon Honey
- ¼ Teaspoon Ghee
In a saucepan, bring milk to boil on medium-high heat.
3 cups Milk
Reduce the heat and add turmeric, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, black pepper, ghee.
½ Tablespoon Ground Turmeric, 1 Teaspoon Crushed Black Pepper, ¼ Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg, ½ Teaspoon Ground Ginger, ¼ Teaspoon Ghee
Mix until everything is well combined and turn off the heat.
Now mix in honey and serve immediately or store in fridge until ready to serve.
1 Teaspoon Honey
You may swap fresh ginger root for ground ginger.
Feel free to use any healthy sweetener of your choice.
Adjust spices and sweetener to suit your taste buds.
