Notes

You may substitute ground turmeric with fresh turmeric root. Grate it and use along with other spices.
You can substitute freshly grated ginger with ½ teaspoon ground ginger. Fresh ginger imparts subtle flavour than ground ginger.
Fresh cinnamon may be substituted with ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon.
The Alternate method of making this herbal tea is to steep all the spices in a heat resistant pitcher/teapot and mix in lemon juice and honey just before enjoying. Steeping time depends on how strong you want your tea to be. Longer the spices are steeped, stronger the tea would be.
Adjust spices and honey as per your taste preference. Do you feel the tea is too spicy? cut down ginger. Is it too sweet? cut down honey. Cut down turmeric if you feel its too strong.
For a vegan version, swap in maple syrup, agave or any healthy plant-based sweetener for honey.
