Restaurant Style Jeera Rice

Jeera Rice is a flavour packed rice prepared with enticing and appetising aroma of cumin seeds. It is one of the dishes prepared with minimal ingredients and time yet tastes heavenly with the crackling crispness of cumin seeds.

1 cup = 240ml
- 2 cups Rice Cooked
- 2 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 1/4 cup Onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Coriander finely chopped
- As required Salt
In a pan heat oil and ghee on medium flame.
Add cumin seeds and saute until fragrant or until they crackle and release nice aroma. Now add chopped onion and saute for couple of minutes or until onions are soft.
Reduce the flame to low setting, add salt, rice and coriander
Now mix gently until well combined, making sure not to break the rice grains. Turn off the heat.
Delicious and fragrant Jeera Rice is ready to enjoy...
Basmati rice is used for this recipe.
Tadka Dal is best and most preferred side dish for Jeera rice.
Substitute ghee with oil for vegan jeera rice.
