Watermelon slushie is an incredibly refreshing and tasty summer drink that keeps us hydrated. This recipe is gluten free, nut free, refined sugar-free and vegan and it comes together in just 5 minutes. All you need to do is blend frozen watermelon with some fresh watermelon and a dash of lemon juice. That's it!!

Lemon juicefrom half lemon
Cut the watermelon into chunks, remove the seeds and sin.
Place 2 cups watermelon in a freezer bag and pop it in the freezer for a few hours before you plan to make a slushie.
Once frozen blend them with fresh watermelon and lemon juice in a high power blender.
You may need to scrape down the sides a few times and continue to blend until smooth and slushie.
Transfer slushie to a glass and serve immediately.
Adjust lemon juice as per your required taste.If you do not have a high power blender, use a food processor.For us, natural sweetness from watermelon is sufficient. You could add maple syrup, honey or any sweetener if necessary.
