Watermelon slushie

Watermelon slushie is an incredibly refreshing and tasty summer drink that keeps us hydrated. This recipe is gluten free, nut free, refined sugar-free and vegan and it comes together in just 5 minutes. All you need to do is blend frozen watermelon with some fresh watermelon and a dash of lemon juice. That's it!!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Watermelon remove skin and seeds and cut into chunks.
  • Lime juice from half lime
  • 2 cups Frozen Watermelon

Instructions

  • Place fresh watermelon cubes, frozen chunks and lime juice in a high-power blender.
    1 cup Fresh Watermelon, 2 cups Frozen Watermelon, Lime juice
  • Blend it until smooth and slush.
  • You may need to scrape down the sides a few times while blending.
  • Transfer the refreshing frozen watermelon slushie to a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust lemon juice as per your required taste.
If you do not have a high power blender, use a food processor.
For us, natural sweetness from watermelon is sufficient. You could add maple syrup, honey or any sweetener if necessary.
